A South Bronx site slated for a large-scale mixed-use development has changed hands for $84 million, brokers announced Friday. The property, located at 355 Exterior Street in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, is already under development and expected to include hundreds of residential units alongside retail or community-use space.
The buyer and seller have not been publicly disclosed, but the deal reflects rising investor confidence in the waterfront stretch of the South Bronx, where rezoning and infrastructure upgrades have spurred a wave of new projects.
Designed by J Frankl Architects, the project contributes to the growing transformation of Mott Haven from a former industrial hub into a residential destination, with several major developments underway in the area.
The transaction follows other recent big-ticket investments in the borough, signaling continued demand for developable land near transit, the Harlem River, and growing amenity corridors.
